Postal cutbacks hurt rural outposts the most

Chairman’s Note: Get ready for another consequence of tea party dysfunction. Three-quarters of all post offices in the Dakotas are slated for cutbacks or closure, and Congresswoman Noem is going on vacation without finding a solution to protect rural post offices. Our rural communities depend on the post office for shipping products and receiving prescription medications. This issue is life or death for rural communities across South Dakota. Our rural families, farmers and ranchers need action from Congresswoman Noem now before it’s too late.
