This week we mourn the loss of former Lt. Governor, Congressman and Senator Jim Abdnor. Senator Abdnor dedicated his life to South Dakota and we are forever indebted to him.
While some in Washington continue to be distracted with partisan gamesmanship, Senator Tim Johnson always stays focused on what is important: the people he represents. This week Senator Johnson was instrumental in getting legislation passed that will help our economy continue to climb out of the Bush recession.
South Dakota has only one voice in the House of Representatives. When that voice is absent, we all suffer. Kristi Noem has made it clear that she would rather be at fundraisers or on Fox News than working for the people of South Dakota. If you or I don’t show up for work, we don’t get to keep our job. This November we need to remind Kristi Noem that those same rules apply to her.
