Day of Remembrance and Service

Print PDF

Our Nation pauses today to remember all who lost their lives eight years ago in 9-11 terrorist attacks.  Thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones on that day and in the aftermath.  Thank you to all of the police, firefighters, EMT, and all the other brave people who answered the call to service, and to their community during a national tragedy.  A continued gratitude to all of our servicemen and women who sacrifice so much to serve our country and keep us safe.  President Obama recognizes the spirit of service in Americans and has declared today a national day of service.  Look to your community and find ways to volunteer and keep the spirit of unity in our country strong.
