Obama picks top legal mind for Supreme Court

President Obama has picked Elena Kagen as his nominee to the Supreme Court to replace Justice John Paul Stevens. Kagen was the first woman to serve as the Dean of Harvard Law School and the first woman ever to serve as Solicitor General. She has demonstrated a natural talent for bringing people of diverse beliefs together, and has earned plaudits from Democrats and Republicans alike for her fair-minded approach to the law and her insistence that all sides be given a fair hearing before the law.
