State government has grown over 53% – or 5.5% annually – since 2003 while shirking many of its financial responsibilities to local communities. We can do better. State Government must fulfill it’s constitutional commitment to an unparalleled public education for our children without shouldering the burden of higher property taxes onto local communities. Our government must become lean, smart, and responsive – cutting out unnecessary bureaucracy to ensure adequate support of our local governments and infrastructure. And state government must address the debilitating flaws in our tax structure that overwhelm homeowners and landowners and instill uncertainty for families, businesses, and government alike.
