The annual McGovern Day celebration has been an important fundraising event for the South Dakota Democratic Party, an institution which was shaped by McGovern during the 1950s and throughout his political career. Our objective is to produce a lasting historic tribute to a statesman and his era. This year features special guests Senator Tom Daschle and Congressman Patrick Kennedy joining Senator George McGovern.- Congressional Candidate Lunch – 12:00 pm ($30/person)
- Legislative Candidates Training – 1:30 pm (Free for all legislative candidates and campaign support staff)
- VIP Reception – 5:00 pm ($250/person)
- Founders’ Club Reception – 5:30 pm (For annual donors of $120 or more)
- McGovern Day Dinner – 6:00 pm ($65/person or $500/table of 8)
