Obamacare at Work in Yankton

With $1.3 million from the Affordable Care Act, a new Federally Qualified Health Clinic is opening in Yankton to serve the needs of the uninsured and underinsured and additional funding will support expanding a FQHC in Ft. Pierre.

Kelly Hertz/P&D

What does this mean for South Dakotans? From the Yankton Press & Dakotan: “According to Sibelius, the two new health centers will help care for approximately 7,682 additional South Dakotans. South Dakota health centers served 55,948 patients last year, 36 percent of them uninsured.”

This makes us wonder – does Congresswoman Kristi Noem want to repeal this funding too?
