Chair’s Note: This article from the Washington Post takes a really interesting look at minimum wage levels around the world. The United States sits at the bottom of the list when it comes to the minimum wage as a percentage of the median wage. Other countries, like Australia, have a minimum wage more than double ours and they haven’t seen a recession in 20 years. We think it’s time South Dakota takes a stand and raises the minimum wage.
