What an exciting last couple of months we have had here at the South Dakota Democratic Party all leading to our 2014 “We Are South Dakota” Democratic State Convention.
We started off April with our 2nd annual Young Elected Legislative Leaders program, bringing together nearly 50 high school students from across South Dakota to participate and learn the legislative process. Next, we held the “Tribute to U.S. Senator Johnson” McGovern Day in Sioux Falls. Thanks to your support we sold out the Sioux Falls Convention Center bringing over 750 Democrats together to honor U.S. Senator Johnson, making this year’s McGovern day the largest to date! I am looking to continue the celebration, June 26th-27th, in Yankton at our 2014 Democratic State Convention.
This year’s will bring together Democrats from all corners of our great state to nominate and celebrate the impressive slate of candidates we will have on the ballot this upcoming November. You will hear directly from our candidate’s, hearing their visions for South Dakota and our Country. They will inspire you with you with their message sharing why “We Are South Dakota”.
