
The South Dakota Democratic Party isexcited to announce that this year's keynote speaker for the 2026 Democratic Roundup in Box Elder, SD is Nebraska Democratic Party Chair and ASDC President Jane Kleeb!

Roundup will be held on Saturday, September 19th at The Box located at 631 Watiki Way, Box Elder, SD. The social hour will start at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. Each table seats 8 people.

ABOUT THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Jane Fleming Kleeb is an experienced grassroots organizer, author, manager, political strategist, and nonprofit entrepreneur. Under her leadership, the number of Democrats elected in Nebraska increased from 500 in 2016 to over 900 in 2023. Innovative programs such as Block Captains, 93-County Voter Guides and the Candidates of Color Fund were created during her term.
For her years of work in rural communities, Jane was named a Climate Breakthrough awardee in 2023, the highest honor in the climate change field. Jane is setting out to create a new project called Energy Builders that works with rural communities to change the economic model of large-scale clean energy projects to benefit the people who live on the land that is creating America’s next 100 years of energy.

Jane is the author of Harvest the Vote: How Democrats Can Win Again in Rural America, published in 2020. In her professional work, she protects property rights while building an engaged base of citizens who care about the land and water.
Jane is also the President of the Association of State Democratic Committees (ASDC) whose mission is to build strong state parties to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. The ASDC focuses exclusively on the current and future needs of state Democratic parties.
