Chairman’s Note: Senator Tim Johnson hosted Holly Petraeus, assistant director of the Office of Servicemember Affairs at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, to protect our servicemembers from predatory lending and financial abuse. The truth is, our military members are disproportionately targeted by pawnshops and payday lenders that surround military bases. It’s long past time that we stand up for our soldiers as they stand up for us.
