S.D. Gas is Going Low-Octane

Chairman’s Note: Engine-busting gasoline is coming to a gas station near you, courtesy of Daugaard and his gas industry buddies. The story is worth reading. After administration officials learned of the illegal distribution and mislabeling of low-grade gasoline in pumps across the state, Daugaard met with gas industry leaders who urged Daugaard to ignore laws on the state books that protect South Dakota drivers from damaging fuels. And now, Daugaard has listened. Observers believe crimes have been committed by some folks in the gas industry. The question is, will Daugaard prosecute them?
