South Dakota House Approves Creation of State Athletic Commission

Chair’s Note: While the Boxing Commission bill made it’s way through both chambers, Rep. Steve Hickey took the time to compare the sport to child pornography. Despite his (and a few other’s) efforts, the bill passed out of the House and now has just a few steps left before final passage. Let’s hope this new commission will help prevent athlete deaths and regulate this popular sport.
