Fairgoers turn out for Back the Farm Bill Rally at the State Fair

Chair’s Note: Senator Tim Johnson was the featured speaker at a Back the Farm Bill rally held at the State Fair this past week. Senator Johnson understands that the House and the Senate need to compromise to get a comprehensive Farm Bill passed – and one that includes food assistance programs. Both Senator Thune and Representative Noem have failed South Dakota farmers – the former not voting for the Farm Bill, the latter not being able to provide the leadership within her party to get it passed.
